What’s included
Membership is open to all internationally qualified lawyers and law students – you don’t need to be a Guernsey Advocate to join.
As a member, you’ll get first refusal and discounted access to GILA’s full calendar of events, including four complimentary seminars each year. You’ll also benefit from valuable industry updates, opportunities to be consulted on draft legislation, and the chance to support the next generation of lawyers through our mentoring and bursary schemes.
Whether you’re settling into life on the island or looking to stay connected with Guernsey’s legal scene, GILA offers a friendly and accessible way to do just that.
Regular Membership
If you’re currently working in the legal profession, you can apply for Regular Membership.
If your employer is already registered with GILA, they’ll be invoiced directly for your membership. Otherwise, we’ll send you an invoice for payment. Please ensure you have approval from your employer before submitting your application.
Student Membership
If you’re currently studying towards a legal qualification, you may be eligible for a reduced Student Membership rate.
As with regular members, we’ll invoice your employer directly if they’re a registered organisation. If not, we’ll send the invoice to you. Please confirm your eligibility when applying.
